Why lunch matters
On game days the team gives up their lunch period to meet in Room 303 — game plan on the board, opponent film on the screen.
It's the most focused half hour of their week. It's also half an hour they're not eating. By kickoff they've had almost nothing all day, and you can see it late in games.
A meal during film fixes it. They eat, they study, they take the field with something in the tank.
What you're signing up for
- Feeding
- 16 players
- Drop off
- Room 303 by 12:15 PM. Come to the side door off the driveway — let me know you're there and I'll open the door and take it.
- Staying
- Not required — drop and go is perfect. You're absolutely invited to stay, whatever works for your family.
- Budget
- Whatever works for your family. Sandwiches, pizza, or a pasta tray all do the job — and drinks are welcome too.
- Can two families split a date?
- Absolutely. One family takes the main food, the other brings drinks and fruit. Just say so in your email.
- September 8 and 9 are back-to-back. Is that right?
- It is. Two home games two days running, so we need two separate families for that pair.
- What if I can't cook or shop that day?
- Order delivery to the school, or send store-bought. Nobody is judging the food. On time beats impressive.
- Are there allergies to know about?
- Yes. I'll send you the details once you claim a date, before you shop.
Thank you for feeding this team.
